Glamour girls and a big girl bed

We are out of school and loving it! We are looking forward to a fun summer! The twins were invited to a birthday party at Sweet and Sassy this past Saturday. They had never been there, but were excited to go. They had a wonderful time!! Every little girl's dream. (Not sure if momma was ready to see her babies all dressed up like this though..)
Kaitlyn was a bit nervous about everything (and didn't like all the make up very much)  but she ended up loosening up and having fun. Kennedy was ready for it all and wanted everything. The more make-up and glam the better! :) Ha. I think I got a peek into their teen years.

This is what their hair looked like. They also picked the same dress to wear (of course). At first Kennedy had a red one, but when she saw Kaitlyn's dress she wanted to match.

They had a fashion show. I could tell both girls were uncomfortable talking and being on the runway in front of everyone. :) It was still cute. (Kennedy)

Sorry this picture was so dark...not sure why.  (Kaitlyn)

After the runway, they had dancing time. At first they just stood there, but their little friend, Malea, was a good dancer, and got them to join in.

After more dancing and games, they changed back into their clothes and had CFA nuggets and fruit. (You can see Kennedy has more eye make-up on than Kaitlyn)

Cute cake

Jillian had a big day yesterday! We took her crib down and she got a big girl bed. :) She is almost 3 and she has never tried to climb out of her crib. Never.  Her sisters were climbing out by 2 years old.
It was a little bittersweet for me....no more cribs in the house. :(

Getting ready to help daddy take apart the crib.

Daddy's in jail!

We were thankful that my mom had my grandmother's daybed and we got to use that for her. We haven't gotten her bedding yet...still looking and deciding what theme we are going to go with.

First try!

What a big girl!

Here is the (sorta) finished product. We are putting this bedspread on it temporarily until we find something else. My baby is growing up.

We have a lot going on in June! We will be traveling to Springtown for a wedding....the twins are the flower girls! :)  We will also be celebrating Jillian's 3rd birthday (10th), our 9th anniversary (14th), Tony's birthday (15th) and Father's Day (17th).  Kaitlyn and Kennedy will be continuing gymnastics and Jillian will be starting too! I'm also starting to teach the twins piano lessons!  :)

Kinder-bridge graduation

This past Wednesday, Kaitlyn and Kennedy graduated from their kinder-bridge class. They had their last day on Thurs and were quite sad about leaving their teacher and friends.  I am so thankful that we bridged them this year and I really feel like they are prepared for kindergarten next year.  I can't believe they will be in kindergarten in August!!!

They announced what each child wanted to be when they grew up. Kennedy said she wanted to be a firefighter! (I did not know this!) :)

Kaitlyn's turn
She said she wanted to be a police lady. (Didn't know this either!)   :)

End of year activities

We had a busy few weeks! The school year is winding down and all the school activities are coming to a close.  The twins have been going to kids choir at Sugar Creek on Sunday evenings, and they got to go to different "tracks" for the 2nd semester. We signed up late so the only tracks left were karate and legos!  (The other options that were full were : art, dance, sign language, guitar, puppets, hip hop etc)
But, the girls were good sports (and didn't know what they were missing) and did a great job. They had their end of year performance a couple of weeks ago. I had to video it on my phone, so it's not the best, but you get the idea. The video is of them doing their karate! :)

I snapped a picture of them on the stage!

The next week, they had their AWANA cubbies closing ceremonies. They were so proud of their certificate. They were very dedicated AWANA-goers and really enjoyed it!! I loved all the verses that they learned!

Then, this past Monday, Kennedy was brushing her teeth and her tooth fell out!!!  It was a big moment for her. Kaitlyn and Jillian were so happy for her! Kennedy was on cloud nine! :)

 May 7, 2012

The "tooth fairy" gave her a dollar and a card. (The card was Kaitlyn's idea...she wanted her to have a card)  She put her tooth in this cute little tooth pillow .

Their preschool had "Moms and Muffins" this week and since it was in the morning before work, I was able to go! I loved being with my girls. They made a place mat for me and had flowers too.  I got to watch them in chapel afterwards.

 Kennedy with hers too!

That same day, CFA had a visit from Strawberry Shortcake. The girls really love her so this was a treat!
The first thing Jillian said when she saw her was "I have red hair just like you!"

 Posing with her!

It's been a big few weeks. The twins have their last week of bridge preschool and their graduation next week. I'll try to be better at posting! :)
