Week 5- Quarantine

We are still distance learning/staying at home and in quarantine. We wear masks to the store, and basically try to stay away from other people, sadly.  (Social distance) School has officially been cancelled for the rest of the year (not the learning part...just the school building part) and that made everyone sad. We had hoped we could go back to school. BUT...we are having some nice family time. We are staying in comfy clothes all day and sleeping a tad later than usual. (ahhhm...Josie)..and no rushing around, which is nice.
Lots of snacks are being eaten in this house! I try to offer the healthy ones first! A common phrase from all the girls..."I'm hungry".
Don't mind the messy playroom (it's getting a lot of use) but I caught Trixie on top of the doll bed during online church last Sunday. Silly pup!
Our Elem staff sent a message to the kids that we miss!!
Josie's working on her ABC's (upper and lowercase)
Tony took the girls (2 of them) fishing at our neighborhood pond one afternoon. Didn't catch anything, but it got them out of the house for a bit, while still social distancing.
Mrs. Sandy (high school algebra teacher) came by one afternoon and delivered Bahama Bucks to the girls and also gave them cute bubble animals. Sooo sweet.
More learning going on! (and snacking!)
 Puzzle time
Gymnastics on the trampoline to burn off her endless energy
PaPa and YaYa sent the girls games in the mail!! Josie got Pretty Pretty Princess!
And the big girls got Wheel of Fortune!
 Playing and having fun
Oh my...she IS a pretty pretty princess
Josie has been loving playing on the keyboard. She has learned how to play Jingle Bells!
After school bubble time! (With the gift from Mrs. Sandy)
The animals are getting a lot of attention. Chester got playtime with Jillian while we cleaned his cage.
The ice cream man came by one day and the girls all got ice cream...no picture of that, but I did get a cute picture of Miss Josie serving us ice cream with her cart. She is an expert. :)
The girls are all doing a great job with their assignments. We are getting used to all the zooms and the new way of learning and teaching.
On to week 6!

Week 4- Quarantine

We completed week 4 of Distance learning/quarantine due to Covid-19.  I'm finding that I'm taking less pictures each week, but here are the highlights from this week.
Lizard catching
Daily walks to the mailbox (We don't usually spread out like this...not sure why we did. Ha!)
The girls made a happy birthday video for our neighbor /babysitter who was turning 16.

Josie did a lot of coloring, clothes changing (so. many.outfits.....is this a stage??) and taking her hair down and changing her hair style every 10 minutes.
 But she's cute!
 Lots of school. Lots...for everyone.
I'm having to take lots of pictures for school (like this one...the librarian needed one with our dogs) and I'm having to make TONS of videos (for school)
Jillian's mice/hamster race track. She had to make something for science this week (recycle), so she chose to make this! She actually raced her mice. Cute!
We have played a lot of Chutes and Ladders. Scooter always joins us.
 Awwww
 More puzzles this week!
Tony's mom made us all masks.
 Don't we look beautiful? :)
The dogs are LOVING having us home. Look how relaxed Trixie is while we watch I Love Lucy all cuddled in bed.
The twins were desperate to see their friends...so they had a "social distance" lunch date at McDonalds.
Josie and Jillian wanted a "picnic in the car" too, so Tony brought them home some lunch and we sat in the back of the Expedition in our driveway. They thought it was the best thing ever!
Not pictured:
Silly videos
Lot of work/school time
Rearranging furniture
Nail painting/hair fixing
wii playing
playing in the rain (for 2 minutes before changing their minds)
online church
online piano lessons
and tons of zooming

Easter 2020 (quarantine syle)

Easter morning came early...Josie wasn't feeling very good so she was up by 6:00am. It was hard to keep her from opening all her Easter goodies, but she did a good job of waiting.
Josie's basket
Jillian's
Kennedy's
Kaitlyn's
All ready for the kids!
Josie got dressed and kept peeking at her basket. :)
Finally, I decided to let her play her new game...this kept her occupied until
we woke the other girls at 8am.
Finally...it was time to open Easter baskets.
After Easter baskets and breakfast, we went upstairs for Easter "church" online.
After church we had our backyard egg hunt.
What a fun egg hunt!!!

The girls humored me this year and put on their Easter dresses. Jillian and Josie actually had Easter dresses....but I hadn't gotten the twins their dresses yet...so they borrowed from my closet.
Easter 2020 dresses (that no one saw)

It was a very different Easter this year, but one thing remains the same. Jesus is risen!!
