Summer camp

Summer is such a fun time! I love having no rushed schedules and the kids can play and relax! The first 3 weeks the kids had summer camp at our school. Tony was one of the camp directors so he was there too. They went on lots of field trips to various places, but their favorites were the swimming field trips!

11 months old

Josie is 11 months now! Her first birthday is right around the corner. How in the world did that happen so fast?

Here is what Josie is doing at 11 months:
*crawling
*pulling up
*beginning to cruise around furniture
*can stand alone for a few seconds
*found her standing in the crib
* doesn't know how to get down from a standing position... she just lets go and falls.
*loves books and pictures of people
*signs: all done, dog, eat, baby, milk
*words: mama, dada, dog, hi (sounds like "ha daw" for "hi dog" )
*can make the sounds for dog and monkey
* loves her bath
*loves music and musical toys
* loves table food: pizza, mac and cheese, muffins and cheese are her favorites
*points
*doesn't like to be on her changing table....changing clothes or diaper
*got a bad cold this past month..it lasted forever!
*likes to play with doors (open and close)
* loves to be outside and to go for walks
*shrugs shoulders
*size 12 month clothes
*size 4 diaper
* dropped the 10am feeding (you still get milk in a cup during this time)
* 21 lbs 4 oz
* in your big girl car seat

I'm pretty amazed I actually got a picture of her sitting still, looking at me, smiling, her bow is on AND her 11 month sticker is on. Oh my!  She kept pulling off her bow and the sticker was just too much fun to play with.  Busy, busy!
This is what she loves to do now....pull up! She can even stand without holding on for a little while.
 My baby doll
One of Josie's favorite things to do....look at books!
Why is this on me?

Trying to get a book
She first learned to pull up on this toy...it's one of her favorites!
She loves looking out the window
Sisters are so fun!
I see Scooter out there!
First ride on toy! I think she likes it!
Grocery shopping is hard work.
I promise she isn't that tired. She just happened to lay her head down and was watching the little boy behind us. :)
Mac and cheese!!!
Books!!
And more books!
Knee pads are a must when you are crawling on hard tile!
Josie loves to look at pictures of our family! She is pointing to each person.
We love our baby girl!!!

The last day of school/field day

Poor Kaitlyn missed the whole last week of school...including field day! She was so sad, but she had bronchitis and her fever just wouldn't go away.  Kennedy had a blast though. (Little did she know, she would come down with the same thing the day after school was out. Jillian and Josie had also been sick with colds. We had a hard end of May with the sickness!
 Field Day fun!

After field day, they had their 3rd grade class party
Kennedy with her best friend, Scotlyn

Playing games at the class party

The last day of school is a half day. Each grade level sings a song and then 4th grade graduates. (5th grade is middle school at FBCA). Jillian was already out of school for the year and Kaitlyn was sick, so it was only Kennedy.

It's a far away picture, but she's in the middle!

 Saying goodbye for the summer

Kennedy loved her homeroom teacher, Mrs. Pearson.
Kaitlyn loved her teacher, Ms. Hodges too!
It's summer!!!!
They were so excited to begin their break, but were sad to leave their friends.

Jillian's field day/Graduation

Jillian's last day of school was super fun! She got to attend the "purple party" for getting on purple this semester. Purple is the highest color you can reach on the behavior chart.  Yay, Jillian!

The next day was field day for PK and K. It was a pirate theme.
Here's a silly pic of my Kinder class
My class again....a little more serious

Now here is Jillian's class...being very silly!

That evening, we came back to school for Jillian's program and graduation.
 My Kinder Graduate
She sang great at her program. She even had a solo and did awesome!

After the program was over, each child got their certificate and other goodies.

So proud!
We are headed to first grade! Woo hoo!!
