Spring Break part 1

On Sunday of spring break, we headed out for San Antonio. We were all super excited about our little vacation. The car ride was perfect. Josie did great...especially when we let her watch Signing Time on the DVD player. :) We stopped at Buc-ees for lunch (it was sooooo crowded!!!) and we ended up eating lunch in the car. But it was yummy and everyone was happy.
We arrived before Dar and Lee so the first thing we did was stop at the Alamo.

We did not go in because the line was SUPER long. The girls were just fine with taking some pictures on the outside. :)

We were able to walk around the Alamo grounds, look in the gift shop, and just explore a little.
Bright sun!

After the Alamo we went to the Wax Museum.
Waiting to get tickets

Family shot right before we went in.
The first display was the president! :)
President Kennedy
President Kaitlyn
President Jillian
There were some amazing wax figures! Here was Cinderella in the Fairy Tales section.
After the wax museum, we went into a store called Del Sol. Everything in the store changes colors in the sun. The girls thought that was so cool.

Around 4pm we headed to the hotel to check in.
I snapped some pictures of our hotel room before it became too crazy!

The kids had to check out Dar and Lee's room too!
Off to dinner! Our hotel served breakfast and dinner every night!
Josie looooved the elevators! Good thing....because we were on the 18th floor!
Dinner night 1
Yummy!
After dinner we headed out to walk around the riverwalk.

Jillian's program and 4th grade science fair

A few days before school was out for spring break, the 1st and 2nd graders had their musical. Jillian was a little nervous, but she did a great job! :)

That Friday, was the 3rd and 4th grade science fair. The twins worked very hard on their projects. They were nervous, but since they had done it last year, they knew what to expect.
Kaitlyn did a project on which liquid cleaned a copper penny the best.
The winner....ketchup!

Kennedy did which brand of popcorn left the least amount of un-popped kernals.
The winner.....Jolly Time!
They entered their project in the morning, got called to interview with the judges and around 1pm they got to see the results.

Kaitlyn won 1st place!!!
Kennedy won 4th place!!!
Sooooo proud of their hard work!!

Mother/daughter tea

Every year, some of the 4th grade parents put on a tea for all the girls and their mom's.  It's so sweet and so much fun for the girls.
