Egg dying and Grandparent's day

The week before Easter was a short week at school due to Grandparent's Day and Easter break.  Grandparent's Day was on Thursday and it's a day devoted just to Grandparent's and special friends.  There are programs, class visits, food, book fair and lots of pictures. :)
My mom was able to snap a few shots of the girls during their programs since I was with my own class.

Since we had Friday off, egg dying was on the agenda!

They turned out really bright and pretty this year! :) They did a great job!!

Fun for Jillian

At the beginning of April, Jillian's friend won an auction item at our school's gala. It was for her and 2 friends to go have pizza with the librarian and then go to the bookstore. Carmela chose Jillian and another sweet friend to go! How fun! Mrs. Potter drove the girls to Grimaldi's during the day(!!!!).

Mrs. Potter let the girls each choose a book for themselves and a book to donate to a local school. Each girl chose a Bible to donate. So sweet.

At FBCA, summer birthday's are celebrated in April and May. June birthday's are in April, so it was Jillian's time to celebrate her birthday. She chose cookie cake to bring to the class.

Tony was able to come too! She had a blast. :) Won't be long and we will have an 8 year old!

Neighborhood Easter egg hunt

Our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt in early April so we decided to check it out!
 Ready to hunt eggs!!
Good pics are hard to get!
"The sun is so bright mommy!"
 My girls
Josie met the Easter bunny right away and wasn't scared!
 No tears!

 High five!
 Hugs!
There were games and food while we waited for the hunt to begin! Bubbles too!

 Time to get some eggs!
 Hmmmmm....what's in here?

Tony made sure Jillian and the twins each got to their part of the field. It was divided by ages.

 All done!
 Yea!
We had to stop for some cotton candy, of course!
At home, Josie figured out that the eggs had candy inside! :)  She wasn't too interested in that part, but loved putting the eggs in and out of her basket.

4th grade field trip and report cards

The 4th graders got to take a field trip to a play at the theater and see James and the Giant Peach. Afterwards, they all went to the Olive Garden for lunch. This was such a special treat! They all got dressed up and had so much fun!

 Kaitlyn's class
 Kennedy's class

The girls all had wonderful report cards this past 9 weeks. They worked so hard and so we all went to dinner at Pappasitos to celebrate. Of course the balloon animals were fun too!
 Kaitlyn got a lion
 Lion for Kennedy too!
 Jillian wanted a big hat!
And baby girl got a puppy dog....she loved it!
The waitress gave the girls brownie sundaes! YUM! Jillian was especially excited.
 Dessert!
The weather has been nice lately! We have been spending time outside a lot. Kennedy had strep this week, but she recovered quickly and we had a great weekend.  Tony snapped this picture of the twins. They have this habit of twisting their earring around. I don't even think they know they are doing it. I just love this picture because they are twisting the same earring and their posture is identical.

Sidewalk chalk is so fun! Josie always wants us to draw cats and dogs.
And here is little one all ready for church!! So sweet!  She stopped to show lots of people her new shoes at church today. :)
