Galveston fun part 1

We headed out on the afternoon of the twins' birthday to our little vacation in Galveston! We planned on staying for 5 days and I think we packed our whole house! I'm amazed we fit it all in the van, but we did! :)

 Loaded down....Scooter and all!
We stayed at Pointe West beach club. Some generous friends let us use their beach house. So blessed.

When we first arrived, we unpacked, ate dinner and then took a walk to explore the look around.
We took a walk to the beach

 My birthday girls!
We let the girls stay up (minus Josie) and watch TV. The only problem was, there were no TV channels...it was only DVDs. We didn't bring any (except for Elmo and Signing Time for Josie), but luckily, there was a season of The Beverly Hillbillies in the drawer. They had never seen that show before, but they ended up really liking it.

Josie slept in her pack n play in our room and once she went to sleep, she did a great job. The next morning she was excited to get on our bed and play a bit.

I snapped a few shots of the beach house....

First thing after breakfast, the girls were dying to go to the beach. I think we were out there by 8:50.
 Ready to go!

We set up a little sun tent and I'm so glad we did. Josie ended up not liking the beach at all. She dug in the sand for about 5 minutes (total).   Then she just stayed under the shade and wanted to eat goldfish and kept saying "all done" (regarding the beach).   She did not get in the water at all.

Tony and the other 3 had a blast in the water!

Jillian by far enjoyed it the most!

 My little side kick

We went back to the beach house for lunch and for Josie to take a nap. It was a good time to cool down and relax. We played card games, watched more Beverly Hillbillies and just had some down time.
On the weekends, the beach club has craft time.  The girls (and Tony!) painted crab puzzles.

Kennedy's crab
 Jillian's crab
(Not sure why I don't have a pic of KK's crab. Hers was red and super cute!
Tony got in on the fun
Josie had fun with water and a paint brush.
After craft time, we got some ice cream. Yum!

 I love you!

Walking back to our beach house to wrap up a fun-filled day!

11 years old!

The next day was Kaitlyn and Kennedy's birthday!!  They turned 11! Wow!
First up: presents!
Kaitlyn had been asking for a certain book series so she was excited to get them!
Kennedy had been begging for a hair model so she could practice all her hair styles....

 Ta da!
Loooong hair so she can style away!
 Clothes and flip flops
I couldn't pass up these shirts!!
 Justice planner/organizer for Kaitlyn
 Art stuff for Kennedy
They also got an "over the door full length mirror". They were super excited about this!
For breakfast they requested big cinnamon rolls. :)

For their party they wanted to have it at Il Primo...the pizza place around the corner.
They wore the dresses that they had just made at their sewing camp
 My big girls...love them!
They wanted a pink and purple party! Pink for Kennedy and purple for Kaitlyn
Little bit enjoyed every bite of her pizza
The Fox family was able to come and join us!

All the kids had fun playing the video games. Josie thought she was so big!

 Classic Josie face

The twins requested brownies instead of cake.
This picture cracks me up! Kennedy apparently blew out the candles before Kaitlyn could! So cute!
 Friends!
 Present time!

Balloons are always a hit with the little one!

Aunt Jenn, Uncle Chris and Cooper weren't able to attend the party, so they brought the girls their presents another day. Watches, purses and wallets! :)

I'm so proud of these girls! They are sweet, caring, responsible and the best biggest sisters to Jilly and Josie. Happy Birthday to my "twinsies".
