Easter Sunday

On Easter morning, the girls were excited to come down the stairs to see what they got in their Easter baskets. :)
Ready to come down the stairs!
 All their goodies!
Josie got lots of books and a few treats.
Daniel Tiger book! (Love her bunny ears too!)

After opening Easter baskets, it was time to get ready for church.  I love having 4 girls to dress for Easter! :) (We took these pictures a couple of days before so we wouldn't be rushed on Easter morning) Jillian was just getting over a virus that caused her to miss Grandparents day at school.

After church, we had a big Easter lunch and Jillian made an Easter cake. It turned out so cute.
The twins also made Easter goodies! Kennedy made Easter bark and KK made Easter fudge.
After Josie's nap, it was time to hunt eggs in our backyard. Each girl had a color to find!
 My cuties!
They couldn't wait to come inside and see what was in their eggs!
Josie kept eating whatever was in her eggs! I put goldfish, teddy grahams, fruit loops, skittles and jellybeans in her eggs. She didn't seem to understand that she didn't have to eat them all at once. :)
The big girls got dollar bills in a lot of their eggs this year. This made them super happy!
We had such a wonderful day! As fun as the easter baskets and egg hunts are, I love that our girls know the TRUE reason why we celebrate Easter. We are so thankful for the sacrifice Jesus made for us! He is risen! He is risen, indeed!

Easter egg hunt #2

The day before Easter we went to another local egg hunt. Josie was super excited to go and see the Easter bunny.  The big girls decided that they would pass on their egg hunt. It was going to be at a later time and only up to age 10. They are growing up.
Ready to start her egg hunt
 And GO!
 She caught on very fast.
She found a PILE of eggs and just stayed there most of the time. :)
After the egg hunt we went to the petting zoo.
She enjoyed petting the goats, ducks, chickens, rabbits and little pony.
 Up next: The Easter bunny!
 So excited to see him!
We saw our neighbor, Kennedy, at the easter egg hunt too! How fun!
They all got to ride on the train together.
 Off they go!
After the egg hunt, we all had lunch at Chick fil a. After naptime, we played outside for the rest of the day.  The girls even washed the vans for us. Woo hoo!
Such a great day! I snapped a few pics of Josie playing with play doh. So sweet.
Everyone was very excited for Easter Sunday the next day.

Easter Egg hunt #1

The week before Easter we went to a local easter egg hunt in Pecan Grove. I was excited to see how Josie would do!
All ready to go!

That evening we went to Luby's for Pa's 75th birthday.
