Tony's Aunt Dar and Uncle Lee came down this weekend to help us with Tony's party and to celebrate all the girls' birthdays. ( Jillian just had her birthday and the twins' birthday is in 2 weeks) She knew they wanted an American Girl Doll really badly and she decided that was what she wanted to give them all!! Of course, it was a surprise to them.
(Warning: I took a ridiculous amount of pictures, but they were all cute and I wanted to remember this day. That's what blogs are for, right?? )
She sat them down and made them close their eyes.....
She gave them $100.00 and a "My doll and Me" scrapbook. She wanted them to figure out what they were supposed to use the money for. Can you see who figured it out first?? :):)
Then they all figured it out!!! Look at those faces!
Kennedy is actually in mid-air jumping for joy!!
Showing off their money!
Giving Aunt Dar a big hug!!!
Their new scrapbooks to make about their doll
They also received some money from their other grandparents to get a change of clothes to go with their doll.
So, we loaded up, picked up Grandma on the way, and headed to the store.
Outside the store
Kennedy thought this car was cool!
The girls had fun exploring and looking at everything. It was a lot to take in!

They found the "Rebecca" display
Jillian wanted to go to the "Bitty Baby" section and instantly fell in love with a little red-headed baby.
She chose this baby!!
(I was so glad she chose a baby instead of one of the "big girl" dolls. This was just perfect for her.
Posing with "Saige"...the girl of the year.
Kennedy ended up choosing "Saige" as her doll!!
Poor Kaitlyn really struggled with which doll to choose. It took her a very long time and a lot of mind changing, but she finally chose "Julie"
Happy with her choice!
Leaving the store...3 happy girls!
Walking to the food court with Aunt Dar and Grandma
Shopping had made us hungry!
Eating lunch!
While we were eating, the girls spotted a beautiful carousel and just HAD to take a ride! :)
Waiting for their turn

Kennedy was up at the top on the inside and I couldn't get a good picture of her. They all loved it.
After the carousel, they went to the indoor playground and had fun running around.

We left the play area and happened to run into the cookie shop! :)
Grandma bought everyone cookies! Yum!!
Cookie time
A train ride was next!!

We found a spot to take another picture with the American Girl store in the background.
The girls watched the ice skaters for a while and rode the escalators up and down too.
One last picture before we left in front of the pretty fire!
Of course, we had to go back through the American Girl doll store to leave because it had a revolving door. :)
Once we got home, each girl opened their doll and wanted a picture with her. They wanted to print the pictures and put them in their new scrapbooks.

Jillian with her Bitty Baby (she named her Kate)
The girls have not stopped playing with their dolls and have taken them everywhere!
Thank you Aunt Dar, Ya Ya and Grandma for making this possible for the girls! This was a memory they will never forget!!
