Easter

We had such a wonderful 4 day weekend! Friday, we went over to Matt and Leigh's house to grill, let the kids play and dye eggs!

 More egg dying!

Friday evening, we went to the Good Friday service at our church.

Saturday, for lunch, my side of the family went to the restaurant in the Brookwood community. My parents treated us to a wonderful Easter lunch.
 Beautiful flowers!

 The whole crew

After lunch we stopped at Chris and Jenn's to have dessert and let the kids play for a bit. They also had a mini Easter egg hunt (empty eggs, but still fun)

Grandma got all the kids Easter goodies, including new nightgowns!  Always fun!
 Cheese!

Easter morning, the girls were up early!
They were excited about their Easter baskets they got to open before church!

 Lots of fun goodies! (Kennedy)

We had a wonderful lunch and the kids got to hunt eggs in the backyard when we got home! This year, the eggs were filled with money instead of candy! :)
Happy Easter!

Catching up

The twins got to go on their first grade field trip at the end of March. They went to the Children's Museum and to a park to eat lunch. :)  I wasn't able to go, but Kennedy's teacher sent these pictures for me.

2 of Kennedy's best friends, Skye and Elizabeth

That same week, Tony took off work and came up to the school to eat lunch with the girls and visit me! So sweet!!

In April, Tony participated in "Dancing with the Staff" at Elkins HS. The seniors ask teachers/staff members to "dance"  in the dance competition. What do you know...Tony won!!!   He also won in a sub category for "Most entertaining".

Tony and the senior that asked him!

It was a late night for the girls, but they had a blast cheering on their daddy!

 Some of the dance participants....

 In action! :)

Last Sunday, we got invited to another church's 25th anniversary celebration in the Toyota Center. Guest speaker was Willie Robertson. We loved it!

This past Thursday was Grandparents' Day at school. Each grade level sang a song. There were lots of activities for the grandparents and kids to do! Fun day!!

The grandparents got to visit the classrooms.
Here is Kennedy in her classroom.

Spring Break

Our family stayed home during spring break, but we still had a lot of fun. Saturday, Tony and Jilly took Scooter to the vet for her check up.

What a nice vet!

Monday, the girls were dying to spend their money, so they went to the store to pick something out. They also decided these lollipops looked good!

Tuesday, Chile's had a Daughter/Daddy date night.
They had a lot of fun doing crafts and getting some yummy foods.

On Thursday, the girls and I got our nails and toes done. Then we stopped for lunch....the girls' choice.

Nails and McDonalds!

Pretty! (She got green on her toes! She loves green!)

We played outside a lot...
Riding bikes

walking the dogs...and just enjoying the pretty weather

Kennedy lost another tooth this week too!

Thursday evening we ate at Chuys and met up with one of Tony's old friends from Springtown.

 The kids had fun together.

Friday, we picked up Skye and drove to Stephen F Austin state park. Our Connection group planned on meeting there and spending the evening.

The girls saw the swings and wanted to do that first!

Next up: Exploring the trails!

Such good sports putting up with all the pictures...

Baby Emily was a hit with all the girls.
They all wanted to take care of her.

Lauren and me (our music minister's wife)
They have 4 kiddos...ages 6 and under!

Smores!!
After smores, Carmen (our music minister) played the guitar and led us in a praise and worship time. It was neat to see people from other areas coming over to join our group! We left late and the girls all fell asleep on the way home.

Lazy day for Jilly and Lucy on Saturday. :)

My parents have sold their house and have bought a new one right by us! They have moved in with us just for a week while they take care of all the closings.  I'm excited for them. Their new house is beautiful! :)

Music program at school

Last week, Kaitlyn and Kennedy had their music program at school.  We enjoyed seeing the girls sing and perform. :)

Before the show

Jillian found a friend to sit with at the program. Alexandria and Jillian will be in the same class at school next year. She was thrilled! (They know each other from gymnastics)

Kaitlyn had a percussion part on stage at the beginning of the show.

Kennedy had a percussion on the stage as well.

After the show! Yea! They did so good.

The next morning in chapel, they performed again.
Kennedy and Skye are such good friends.

Kennedy's teacher took a cute picture of their class celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday. :)
