3 weeks

Miss Josie is 3 weeks old. She got to visit with her Uncle Chris, Aunt Jenn and Cousin Cooper earlier this week.
 Uncle Chris

 Cuddling with Aunt Jenn

Cooper got to hold Josie too!
(I think the girls are laughing because Josie reached up and pulled his glasses down. Ha!)

 Sweet
Cousin time (Just wish Kennedy was in the picture too!)

Love those sweet eyes and just want to kiss those chubby cheeks!

She isn't smiling socially yet, but I got one of her spontaneous smiles. :)

 Lots of yawns!! So cute!

 Sleeping beauty

Jillian had fun talking and playing with her little sister!

At 3 weeks Josie is still loving nursing and sleeping. She does pretty well sleeping at night as long as she is swaddled tight and has a full belly. :) She is a sweetheart and we are having fun watching her grow. I know the girls are very anxious for her to grow faster so they can "play" with her.  They love to help pick out her clothes, help with baths, diaper changes (a little) and are great at putting her pacifier back in when it falls out.  We are blessed with our 4 girls!!

Swim lessons

This summer, the girls got swim lessons for their birthday from Grandma and Pa.  They are finishing up this week. They have gone each day for 2 weeks and have had a great time. ( And learned a lot!)

  Ready to swim!

 Love the pose!

 Kennedy
The twins were comfortable in the water and could swim already, but they are loving learning different strokes and liking the challenge of swimming in the "deep end".

Jillian did not know how to swim and she was a little nervous at first, but she has done a super job!

It has been a fun 2 weeks for them and they have become so much more confident. I think we may do it again next year to reinforce everything they have learned.

First bath

It's always exciting when the cord falls off and you finally get to bathe your sweet baby!! I was so ready to get Josie in the bath. Sponge baths are great, but I was ready to move on to the real thing.  I'm not so sure Josie was though.....

Not liking the bath at first.....
but she did have some moments where she seemed to be enjoying the water.

All wrapped up after the bath.
Still not too thrilled about getting all wet.

 Calming down....

All clean!!

The bath was quite the event with all three girls wanting to contribute. Jillian was the photographer (unfortunately, her pictures and video didn't turn out so well. Ha! I'm glad Tony was able to get a few!)
The twins were just eager to help. Tony finally just left the room and stated "there were too many people in here!" Poor Tony!
All in all.....we came out with a clean baby! Success!

Pictures from the week

Here are some extra pictures of our cutie during her 2nd week. Lots of sleeping, but she is having some consistent "wake time" now for a little bit.  I love watching her look around and take in everything around her.
Sleepy girl

Alert!

She doesn't know how fun it is being the youngest of 4 silly girls yet...but she will soon find out!!

Laying with mommy

Josie got to meet Aunt Terri this week.

Big yawns!

This was Josie's hospital picture. (I had to take a picture of the picture, but I wanted to have it on the computer. )
2 days old

2 week check up

Last Monday was Josie's 2 week check up. She did great!
 Ready for the doctor!

 Snoozing in the waiting room

At 2 weeks Josie weighed 8 lbs 12 oz ( gained 7 oz from last week!) and she is now 21 1/4 in. (Grew 1/4 of an inch) Way to go baby!
The next day we had to go back to SL Methodist to get her second PKU (heel prick)
It's always so sad when they cry, but at least that's over!

More pictures and a visit from family

Last week, my good friend, Becca came over to take pictures of Josie and our family.  I can't wait to see them! :)

Tony snapped this picture with his phone while Becca was taking pictures.
 Love all my girls!

One of Becca's pictures! So sweet!

Tony's Aunt Dar and Uncle Lee came to visit for a few days this past week. We loved having the extra set of hands and the girls loved all the fun places that they got to go.

Family picture (We all look so tired!! LOL)

Dar and Lee took the girls to the new Gallery Furniture store near our house. It's an amazing place with fish, monkeys, birds and mattresses to jump on for the kids. They even had this huge chair!

One last picture of Miss Josie. We love our sweet baby! She really is doing well. She loves to sleep and eat. :)
She usually eats every 2-3 hours  and sleeps most of the day. She is beginning to have some awake time and that's always fun to interact with her.
We have our 2nd doctor appointment soon! I'll keep updating.

First doctor appointment/ One week old

Josie had her first dr appointment last Monday at one week old.
Sweet baby....so sleepy

She measured 21 in and weighed 8lbs 4 oz. (Down 5 oz from birth)

She slept through most of the appointment. She did wake up to spit up and have a dirty diaper. :)

She came home and got some good sleep in her swing.

Caught this cute picture of sweet Josie with her eyes open. :)
Happy one week!!
