party
My mom's birthday was a couple of weeks ago, but it was the same week my dad was in the hospital so we couldn't celebrate. We had a party for her today at our house! We got her a new sewing machine! We had a great time and we loved holding cousin Cooper!

Update on us!
Wow! I have been such a bad blogger!! I'll give you a quick update! We are back at school!! The kids came yesterday for the first day! The summer is gone. It was actually nice to be back....talk to friends and have a routine again. I like routine. My schedule is great....most days I go in about 11:30 and I drop the girls off at my parents house. My dad is doing great by the way.....he says he feels wonderful. He just can't lift anything more than 10 lbs per doctors orders. So, no picking up the girls.
Tony is teaching levels 1-5 ASL and yearbook. He really loves his kids at school and invests a lot of time with them!
Kennedy and Kaitlyn are growing and changing every day. They are doing great in their toddler beds and keep us laughing all the time!
Just wanted to give you a quick update. I'll try to get some pics on here soon!

Update on dad
Thanks for praying! My dad was moved out of ICU around 8pm tonight into a regular room and he is doing well. He had a 100% blockage in one main artery which caused the heart attack. They put a stint in as well as a temp. pace maker. He has another main artery that is 50-60% blocked and a smaller one that is 70% blocked. They will be treating him with medication and watching him closely. He is in good spirits and he is feeling a lot better. This attack shocked us all, as my dad is a fitness/health nut and just had a physical 2 weeks ago! (which showed no problems!) Thanks again for your prayers!

Please pray for my dad. He had a heart attack this morning and was taken to the ER. He had a stint put in and a pacemaker. He is in ICU right now and stable. He will be moved to a regular room tomorrow and will probably stay until Friday. Thanks! Lindsay

We had sooo much fun today at the zoo! The girls were amazed at all the animals...especially the elephants, monkeys and giraffes! Here are some pictures from the day.

Update
The girls did GREAT in their toddler beds!! I told them firmly NOT to get out and they didn't!! Yipee!! Kennedy kept repeating " No climbing out of bed" "no climbing out of bed" (She wasn't the one I was worried about!) They did talk for a looooong time last night, but that really wasn't anything new. I finally had to go in and tell them to go night night. (about an hour after bedtime!)
This morning I really thought they may try to climb out...I went ahead and got them up just a little bit earlier than usual (7:15) and praised them for staying in. Hopefully tonight will go just as well!

The chickens have flown the coop!
oh my! The girls have learned how to crawl out of their cribs. Yesterday morning I hear something funny on the monitor....the door knob rattling. I shot up the stairs as fast as I could, but not soon enough. I hear a thud and a scream/cry! I quickly realized that baby #1 was out and fine, (thus the door knob rattling) and baby #2 wasn't quite so agile and FELL out of her bed. (the thud and cry) I opened the door and discovered Kaitlyn, running around so happy to be free! Kennedy was wailing. She had a big ol bump on her head. Poor thing. She was just trying to copy Kaitlyn. See, Kaitlyn is our monkey....she can climb on anything and she is very good at it. No surprise she climbed out with no prob. Kennedy is our cautious child and would have NEVER tried this if Kaitlyn hadn't shown her.
We didn't convert their cribs to toddler beds last night..I wanted to see if it would happen again or if was just a fluke. I talked to them about not climbing out etc and put them down for the night.
This morning...I hear that familiar door knob rattle and I knew that they were out. I ran up the stairs and only Kaitlyn was out. Kennedy wasn't about to get out again and fall. (smart cookie!)
So, today Tony and I are converting their cribs to toddler beds. We will see how it goes. I'm a little nervous about all of this, but we will see.
I'll keep you posted.

July 4th!
Tony's parents came down for the girl's birthday party and on the 4th we went to the Aquarium Downtown. We had a great time! The girls loved all the fish and sea creatures. (and tigers!) They also rode on a merry go round for the first time and the ferris wheel!

"Sit on potty"
Kennedy and Kaitlyn keep asking to "sit on potty". It's cute. All they really want to do is sit with the lid down and flush it. :) They don't want to sit on it "for real" . It's a start though!!
