I got someone to watch my class and I snuck away from my Kinder class for a few minutes to get a peek at Kennedy and Kaitlyn's party.

The next Friday was Rodeo day at school! It's a fun-filled day. The whole day is dedicated to the rodeo with various rotations for the kids to go through.  They even had a salsa tasting contest!

Jillian was so happy she could dress up too!

The first part of the day was all the grade level programs. 

Each grade performed a routine to country music. 

Here is Kaitlyn right before her show.

Kennedy was further away from me, but I caught her eye and she gave me a smile!

Her teacher, Mrs. Maples, was dressed like a "granny" because she was in the teacher routine which required us to dress like old people. I made good use out of my "old person" outfit!

1st grade's routine was with a parachute.

January recap

 Now that it's Feb 1st, I think I should catch up with the month of January! I've been behind this month!

 Mrs. Maples, Kennedy's teacher, sent this picture of the girls "listening to reading" in class.   :)

They are in separate classes, but they are in the same reading group so they get to be together for that.

The twins got invited to a birthday party. It's always fun to dress up!

We got 2  extra days off this month due to cold weather! It was predicted to ice/snow, but nothing much happened.  The girls did get to go out for a bit and find icicles in the backyard.

Kindergarten celebrated the 100th day of school yesterday. All the teachers and students dressed up as "100 year olds". It was so much fun!!!

More Christmas fun with family

 The day after Christmas, we left to visit Tony's family near Ft. Worth. The kids were super excited about going up there.

 Jillian wanted to make sure Dora was safe and strapped in to her booster seat too.  :) 

The first thing the girls wanted to do when we got there was open gifts from Paw Paw and Ya Ya!( Of course)

 All the girls got Glow Pets too! They love having these on at night.

  The next morning, the girls had fun dressing up and playing. :)

Later that day, we headed to Tony's Aunt Dar's house to visit.

They love that they can go outside even if it's a little wet or muddy! (me too)

Later that day, we went back to Paw Paw and Ya Ya's house and Tami took the girls to a movie. :)

Saturday morning, we had a big breakfast and Shaylee got to come over. The girls love to play with her!

Tony's dad took all the kids riding in the Kubota around their property. They got to play in the tree house and Jillian even got to ride one of the cows! :) What fun!

Later that day we went back to Dar's house for more family visits.

On Sunday, we went to church and then Tami fixed a yummy lunch for everyone.  That evening the girls had a sleepover at Dar's house. Brenae was sweet and came over too!

We drove back home and the rest of the week we have spent trying to get the house organized and getting lots done before school starts again.

The girls got to have a play date with their friend Skye yesterday. Cooper came over to play with Jillian too.  Lots of fun. :)
