Pa's birthday and Easter morning

Saturday was my dad's birthday. Pa chose to go to Luby's with everyone to celebrate.

Josie dressed in her "Easter best".
She looks like she is saying, "Where am I?"

 Happy Birthday Pa!!

After our yummy meal, we went back to my parent's house and the kids had a confetti egg hunt.
 Ready, get set....
 GO!
 Showing off their eggs

And now it's time to crush the eggs!
(Cooper got a head start on Kennedy's head!)

 So much fun!

Easter morning

Each big girl got lots of goodies

Baby Josie got some bath toys, Puffs, a new bib and a sippy cup

Looking at their new (very detailed) coloring books
Shopkins! (You can never have too many)
 Looking at all their loot

After church, we had our back yard egg hunt.

Happy Easter! He is risen!!

Easter pictures and dyeing eggs

Since we had Friday off, we decided to dye eggs.  The girls did a great job....just forgot to get a pic of the final product.

When Josie woke up from her nap, I decided it was time to try to get some Easter pictures for her 1st Easter.
She is always so easy to photograph

She didn't want to stay on her belly this time though...she is getting so good at rolling around

But this one was sweet....love those big blue eyes!

After her "indoor photo shoot" (Ha!), we went outside. This was a lot harder because there were so many distractions.

 Love this look
She saw Tony's van pulling up to the house and began to wave to it. I think we have trained her to wave when she sees a car driving.
 More waving
Big smiles showing off her 7 teeth

 And such sweetness!

And next came the real challenge! All four girls!
I had them get on their Easter dresses, fixed their hair etc...all for pictures. What good sports... (for the most part!)
We tried various places outside, but apparently even in the shade it was too bright for them. These turned out cute though.

Since outside was so bright, we tried inside on the stairs. This actually was much better and easier.

Love all my sweet girls and thankful they let me get my Easter pictures that I wanted so badly.
One day they will thank me! :)

School activities

Back to school after spring break wasn't all that difficult because we had a short, fun week with Easter break the very next weekend.
Kindergarten had their Easter egg hunt on Wednesday.  Always a fun day!
I got to watch Jilly hunt eggs....a perk of being one of the Kindergarten teachers :)

 Got one!

That Thursday was a half day at school and it was also Grandparent's Day. My parents were able to attend. Tony's family will be coming in a couple of weeks! Can't wait!
 Dressed up for Grandparent's Day!

 Cuties!
Had to throw this one in here too...a selfie of daddy
and Jo Jo.
(Love that Scooter is peeking through the middle! ha!)

Spring Break

We had a very relaxing spring break. It was so nice to be home and just take a breather from our normally fast paced life.

The girls did a lot of playing....

 Got hair cuts!

 Took walks...

 Had a spa day!

 Went fishing

Fed the ducks

Played outside!!!

 Took naps

 Ate lots of yummy food!
(Looks like Josie had green beans, lovingly fed by one of her older sisters...ha!)
Played in the tub...
(The ducky bathtub is not scary to her anymore, but she still prefers the bath ring. )

We got caught up on lots around the house and overall just enjoyed relaxing and being together. It was so hard to go back to work.
