Spring break part 2

On Tuesday, we drove to Brenham because we wanted to visit the Blue Bell ice cream factory. We also found this little place called Horseshoe Junction which looked fun for the kids!
I loved that it had an area for smaller children. Josie LOVED this area! She climbed up and down over and over!!
She liked the slide, but it went super fast so she only felt comfortable with one of her sisters with her.
She also loved the dance/video game floor.
While she was playing in her area, the big girls played the arcade games.
They wanted to get lots of tickets!
Jillian thought she had won 1000 tickets! She was close, but she didn't. Bummer!
Josie eventually came out of her fun area to "drive" and "play" some of the big kid games.
Next up: Go carts! The kids had never ridden in one so this was an adventure. Jillian and Kaitlyn drove by themselves, but Kennedy wanted Tony to drive her.

Jillian looks serious!!
Tony and Kennedy are at the back of the pic.
After Go Carts they did bumper boats.
The boats sprayed water so the girls got wet. Josie went with Tony and loved riding on the boat, but wanted to get off once she accidentally got sprayed.
They had other fun things like a trampoline and rock wall.
Jillian was the only one that wanted to climb the rock wall. It looked easier than it was. :)
And Laser tag!
We packed our own lunches and ate in the van.
Jillian and Josie thought it was so fun to eat in the trunk!
The twins ate in the van
After lunch we drove about 10 minutes until we got to the Blue Bell factory. It was pretty crowded and much bigger than I remembered.
Girl pic!
Family pic!
The hats were fun!
The first building was a little museum.
Lots of cute photo opportunities!
The second building (and upstairs) was the creamery, observation deck and gift shop.
All our cute hats!
We each got a cup of ice cream.
Josie and Kaitlyn got vanilla. Kennedy got chocolate and Jillian got Mint Chocolate Chip.
I got Cookies and Cream and Tony got Rocky Road.
Loving every bite
After our ice cream, we got to see the observation deck. No pictures were allowed there, but it was fascinating to watch.
All done!
One last picture of Jillian!
We went back to Horseshoe Junction for some more fun and left around 3:30 to head home. It was a fun day!!

The rest of spring break, we just stayed home, did some shopping, fishing and lot of eating. :)
Kaitlyn and Josie drew lots of sidewalk chalk animals all over the driveway!
Pizza picnic!
Jillian got invited to a swim birthday party. She was able to bring her mermaid tail. :)
All dressed in GREEN for St. Patrick's Day! I'm one LUCKY mom! :)
We are sad to see spring break go.
I love having a slower pace and lots of time to get things done and be with the family, but it sure was FUN!
