Country girls

We took a little road trip to Magnolia yesterday! Our dear friend, Leigh Fox was up there visiting her mom while her hubby (Matt) was out of town in Costa Rica with his baseball team.   Leigh had her 3rd baby about 6 weeks ago and decided to stay with her mom while Matt was gone. She invited us up there so we could visit and the kids could play! :) It turned out to be such a fun day.

The girls were so excited to see baby Colin! That was the first thing they wanted to do.  Hold the baby!!  (All these pics were taken with my phone, so the quality isn't so great.)

Kennedy anxious to see the baby!

Jillian loving on Colin

Kaitlyn got a smile!!

The next big "attraction" was the very loud bird that they had.  Tony fell in love with the bird.....me.....not so much. Jillian was very brave and wanted to hold the bird.
 My brave girl

Hard to see....but it's sitting on her shoulder.

Not liking that the bird is nibbling her ear!

Tony and the bird hung out like this for a while!

It was also fond of his ears too!

More love for baby Colin! (Kennedy and Jilly)

There were lots of animals! Here is one of the dogs! Bigger than the kids! :)  (Jillian and Kade)

Leigh helping Kaitlyn feed the horses!

 Jillian's turn

Kennedy was a little nervous, but she ended up doing it! :)

Next up! The tire swing! They had sooo much fun on this!!!

We came back in for a short break and snack and tried to talk Kaitlyn into holding the bird. She was just too nervous.....but she wanted to.

Tony looks so sweet holding Colin! (Don't you want another one, honey??)

On our way to visit the barn and hay loft, we spotted a tree house. Of course we had to go up!

 Best buds

This picture is dark, but the kids had a blast in the hay loft! Hay everywhere!! This was a completely new experience for my girls. We played up there for a while then made our way back to the house for dinner and baths.

Jillian had to see baby Colin one more time before her bath! The girls all got the hay out of their hair and mud off their legs. They had a good dinner and then it was time to go. It was still light outside, but it was already their bedtime.

And this is what happened the instant we got in the car.

We had so much fun!  A big thanks to Leigh and her mom for letting us come! :)

February happenings

February is flying by and I have been such a bad blogger. This post is just a few highlights of the past couple of weeks.

We spend as much time as we can outside....Kennedy is LOVING riding her bike with no training wheels!

Cooper had his 4th birthday party last weekend! Can't believe he is 4!  He had a batman themed party and the kids had a lot of fun playing together!

 The balloons were a hit!

 Eager helpers

 Captain America!

Jenn did a great job on the cake! Yum!

 Blowing out the candles

Cooper doesn't like any sweets. He promised everyone he would eat some cake this time. When it came down to it, he said he didn't want any. BUT....they held him to his promise and he tried a bite. He did NOT like it, to say the least. It still baffles me (and everyone) how he doesn't like sweets! (I wish I had that problem!)

Can you believe your eyes? All my girls are wearing MASKS! (Gasp!) This was the ultimate fear for 5 years.....we have come a long way.  (I know Cooper is happy to have playmates now who aren't so fearful.)

Checking out Cooper's new toys! I think the girls really enjoyed playing with his things because we have no boy things at home!

Thursday was Rodeo day at preschool! They had a lot of fun dressing up.

Friday, I took a day off of work and we all went to Veggie Tales LIVE! It was at Sugar Creek. My mom, Jenn and Cooper came too.  My mom was so sweet and bought all the kids something from the Veggie Tales gift shop! Grandmas are the best!

All my girls wanted "Sweet Pea Beauty".  Thanks Grandma!!

 Can you say, EXCITED????

A quick pic of all four before the show

The show was amazing and sooo much fun. Jillian danced in the aisles and loved every minute. She is soooo into Veggie Tales! The older 3 enjoyed it too, but it was a 2:00 show and they all got pretty tired. (They were missing their usual nap)

This weekend we went to a fun birthday party for our neighbors. It was at Inflatable Katy. We had been there once before (last March) and boy what a difference a year makes. Jillian had no fear and could do everything her older sisters could do! All 3 had a ton of fun and were quite worn out at the end.

I happened to catch all 3 at the top! (using my iphone...sorry for the quality)

 Miss Kennedy

"Mom...do I really have to stand here for this picture?? I want to play!!!"

Happy Kaitlyn

Cupcakes and ice cream!

Next on the agenda is a garage sale!! This coming Saturday, my brother and sister- in-law will be having a garage sale and invited me to join in with them. (Thanks!)  I have been a crazy person going through my house and pricing everything. It's amazing how much you can accumulate over the years...especially with kids!!! Wow!  I'm looking forward to getting things sold and our house a little less cluttered! :)

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines day!!!
This morning, the girls woke up to a few little things at the table and heart shaped pancakes. :)
Their most exciting gift was tickets to see Veggie Tales Live next week! I'm sooo excited to take them to this!

Showing off their Veggie Tales "tickets"!

The girls had a Valentine party at school and had a fun day overall.

Last week, Tony took the girls to CFA for Daddy/Daughter Night.  Here is a picture of the three of them before they left!
 Kaitlyn, Jillian, Kennedy

 Lovin' on little sis

They love their daddy!

Tony took more pictures of that night, but they are on his phone and I haven't gotten them yet. That evening was a lot of fun for them! Flowers, food and a ride in a pink limo! What could be better???

Books of the Bible

Just had to capture this. :)
Only 2 years old and knows all her books of the Bible.
(I give my mom full credit for teaching this to her!)

January

It's the last day of January and I'm FINALLY posting something! Whew! It's been a busy month.

The first big news is that Jillian is potty trained!! Yipee!!  She still wears pull ups/diapers for nap and bedtime but she is doing so great during the day. So proud of my little girl!

The next big news for Kennedy is that she can ride her bike without training wheels!! She started trying last week and has it down now! I meant to snap a picture of her, but it was raining today.  I'll get one soon! Kaitlyn tried, but decided that she would rather have her training wheels back on for now.

All the girls had dentist appointments this month. It was Jillian's first time and she LOVED it!!  No cavities for the girls. :)

Can her smile get much bigger??

She loved it when the chair went back.

She got to wear sunglasses to keep the light out of her eyes. :)

She asked the dentist first thing how old he was. I thought that was funny. He answered her, and then he asked her how old she was.
After he checked her teeth, she was concerned that he had not checked her cough. LOL. I think she was confused between a doctor and a dentist. :)

We did have to make a trip to the doctor this month. All the girls had to be on steroids and inhalers for their coughs and wheezing. :(
Kaitlyn had this first near the end of December, but Kennedy and Jillian followed her this month. We are still trying to get over the lingering coughs.

Tony and I got to go on a couple of dates! Yipee! It's been waaaaay too long.  We had someone offer to babysit for free and we jumped on it! :) We had a gift card and we went to see "Joyful Noise" with Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah. Very cute movie and loved the music!

Tony's boss took all the managers and their wives out to a really fun restaurant called Buca Di Beppo.
Yummy food and a super fun atmosphere!! (Thanks to my parents for babysitting!)

The twins are doing great in school and Jillian and I are really enjoying our study in BSF this year. (Acts and the apostles)

Next month I'm hosting a Kelly's Kid's clothes party. The clothes are super cute and I can't wait for it!

Last, I'll leave you with a cute video of Kennedy and Kaitlyn singing a song that they learned in their preschool Spanish class.
