6 weeks old and smiles!!!

6 weeks old has been a lot of fun!
I feel like Josie has really changed this week!!
 6 weeks old

Josie is still enjoying her bouncer is is noticing lots of things around her including toys and the tv!

She is also really loving her play mat.
She is pretty content playing on it for a while each day.

My favorite part of this week has been all her sweet smiles!!!!
 I captured some on camera.
So sweet.
 Happy baby

 Sweet angel...

 There's a smile!

Josie has been sticking her tongue out lately.
We call it the "tongue game". She copies me when I stick out my tongue....every time.
It's adorable.

 Oh my goodness..the smiles!!!!

We have also been working on tummy time. This is NOT her favorite thing to do. :)

 There's that tongue again. :)

On Tuesday, I got this picture sent to me of Jillian in science class at school.  So fun to see what she is doing during the day.
That night, poor thing came down with a terrible sore throat.

She stayed home from school and we went to the doctor.
She had strep and ended up being home the rest of the week.

Her friend Scarlett sent her a card and a "U Rock" gift.  So sweet.

By Saturday, she was fever free and we enjoyed some pizza at home while the twins attended a birthday party. Glad my girl is feeling better.  :)

First day of school 2015-2016

It's a new school year!
It felt very different sending my girls off to school with Tony and staying home with Josie. I'm taking off until mid October so I can spend time with my little one!
Kaitlyn and Kennedy: 3rd grade
Jillian: Kindergarten

Kaitlyn posing with her new backpack.
She has Mrs. Hodges for her teacher. (Although they change classes this year so she will have all three teachers!)

Kennedy's pretty blue backpack.
She has Mrs. Pearson this year for 3rd grade.

My big girls!

Miss Jillian is starting Kindergarten.
She has Ms. Cortez this year.

Tony was sweet and took one more picture for me before they went into school.

Seeing school friends again!
(I snagged this picture from the "Back to school" video FBCA put on the web.

After school, the girls changed clothes and had a visit from Emma.
Tony and I watched Emma for a couple of summers when Emma was in elementary school. (I was Emma's 2nd grade teacher at Commonwealth Elem.)
She has since graduated and wanted to bring the girls muffins. So sweet.

The girls all had a wonderful first day of school.  So proud of them!!

5 weeks old and last week of summer!

The last week of summer came and went, but we tried to pack in some fun for the girls. While the twins were on a play date, Jillian and I got our toes done! Always fun!
They served Jillian some yummy lemonade and that made her day.

 Her favorite color these days...

Kennedy and Kaitlyn had a play date with their friend Skye. :)  They went swimming, had lunch AND dinner with her. Fun!
At the Black Walnut Cafe for dinner

Meanwhile, this little girl has been busy growing!

 .....And enjoying her bouncer too!
This week brought the beginning of her smiles!!! She will now smile occasionally when she sees a friendly face. I LOVE it!!

1 month

Our sweet baby is 1 month old today!
  Super girl!
She is just the sweetest thing! I can't wait for her to start smiling socially. She still just smiles at random times, but I love it when I capture it on camera!

She had her 1 month check up today, and she just snoozed away in the waiting room.

She didn't even cry when we woke her up and the doctor checked her out.

  • At 1 month Josie weighs 10 lbs 7 oz and she is 21 1/2 in long.
  • She still eats every 3 hours (sometimes 2 1/2)
  • She love to be held while she sleeps during the day.
  • Josie is an expert burper :) and is very vocal. Loves to "talk" and grunt!
  • She is becoming more alert and has "wake" time after she eats. It's usually longer in the morning and shorter in the evenings.  She sleeps like a champ (while being held).  Not a fan of being put down, but it's getting better.

We are completely in love with our 4th little girl!

I was glad I had the "1 month" sticker to put on her outfit because as I was positioning her to take her picture, she promptly spit up and got all wet. The sticker is hiding all of that! :)
Love our Josie girl!

Bye bye July!

The girls finished up their swim lessons at the end of July. On the last day of lessons, they had to jump off the diving board. They were a little nervous about it, but did great. Well, Jillian didn't want to do it, so she jumped off the side. Maybe next year.

 Jillian

Life with a baby has really changed our routine and the girls are learning a lot about how to care for a baby. Jillian often brings her babies downstairs and puts them in the swing, bouncer or another baby item. She also changes their diaper and even nurses them! Ha! I had to take a picture when she grabbed my nursing pillow and began breastfeeding her baby. She even burped her baby. Too cute!

 Lots of sleep going on!

Holding baby sister!
(I promise the other 2 girls hold her also....just didn't get pictures this time. )
