Beautiful weekend

We have been so very busy!   Friday was "hat day" at school! (Jillian had her "hat day" on Thurs. since she only goes 3 days. I forgot to get a picture of her. :(

I managed to get of picture of Kaitlyn and Kennedy with their cute hats on! (They were actually headbands with little top hats attached to them.  They loved them!

After school on Friday was American Heritage Girls.

She is standing with her friends, Elizabeth and Anna Grace.

On Saturday, their troop was marching in a parade! They were soooo excited!
 Before the parade

Tony took the girls and stayed with them during the parade.  He got a few pictures for me!

After the parade was over, all the girls ate lunch at CFA and then went back to Skye's house to play outside in the beautiful weather!
 Playing with the baby chicks!

 Cute!

Meanwhile, I was at home with this cutie!
She had fun roller skating, riding her bike and just enjoying the weather! It was such a pretty day.

This and That

Things have been very busy and I haven't had much time to update.  We have a very busy schedule and the girls have a lot of things going on. On Mondays the twins have piano lessons. They are enjoying this a lot.  On Wednesdays all the girls go to tumbling and on Fridays the twins go to American Heritage Girls.  (Like girl scouts...but with a Biblical basis)

 Kaitlyn practicing

I wanted to throw in a picture of these cute cookies I got from one of my students!! Adorable!

Picture day was last Thursday at school and it just so happened that Jillian AND Kaitlyn were star of the day/week.  I was able to go to Kaitlyn's class to see her presentation but I didn't get to go to Jillian's.
This wasn't taken last Thurs, but this is the dress Jillian wore for picture day (minus the hat). She presented a little "All about me" book and was able to take her Bitty Baby to school for show and tell.

Kaitlyn's teacher, Mrs. Prado, invited me to come to Kaitlyn's presentation.  I loved listening to her answer all her classmate's questions.
 Explaining her poster

 Doing a great job presenting!

She got to bring in lots of different items from home. She wanted to bring her Bible. Sweet.

She chose this bear to show the class.

The next day, Tilly the Tooth came to visit the PK-2nd graders. Kennedy was one of the lucky kids to "brush" Tilly's tooth!

What fun!

1st day of school

We had a great first day of school!! The girls were super excited to get dressed!! New shoes! New backpacks etc. So much fun!!

Kennedy is going into 2nd grade this year!
Her teacher is Mrs. Thomas.

Kaitlyn is going into 2nd grade.
Her teacher is Mrs. Prado.

Twin pic! (Although, in this picture they look so different!!)

Jillian is going into PK this year.
We decided to bridge her as well since she has a summer birthday.
Her teacher is Mrs. Gerschoffer.

All my girls go to school with me this year! Love it!!

  Showing off their backpacks!

One last picture before we went into the building!  :)

The girls had a great first day. The twins were bubbling with excitement when they got home. Jillian had a good day, but unfortunately, got stung by a wasp at recess. Poor baby. She got an ice pack from the nurse and her teacher let her walk across the hall to my room to get a hug from me.  (love that).
It shook her up a bit, but she recovered quickly.

I have a sweet little Kindergarten class with 11 students. :) They are all adorable and I know this year is going to be great!

This was my favorite part...the hat and whipped cream!
Surprise!

 Whipped cream on Kaitlyn

 Kennedy's turn

Yuck! (Neither girl likes whipped cream...which made it so funny!)

See video below...Kaitlyn's face as she tastes the whipped cream cracks me up!!!

After dinner, we went back to our house for dessert and present time

Happy Birthday, Kaitlyn!
Happy Birthday, Kennedy!

8th birthday party

The twins had their birthday party on July 6...the day before their birthday. Tony and I got off easy this year because Kennedy and Kaitlyn wanted the exact same theme and decor that Jillian did for her birthday last month. So, we brought out all the same decorations and we set up another Frozen birthday party! :)

The twins wanted a "Pajama Party"......so the evening before their actual birthday, their sweet friends came over with pj's on! The girls got new Frozen pj's just for the party. :)

Getting some "before the party" pictures. (Kaitlyn-L, Kennedy-R)

Little sister showing off her new Frozen pj's too!

 Sweet pic with Kaitlyn

Once all the girls arrived we started out with dinner. Pizza!

Followed by cupcakes and ice cream. (Kennedy)

 Present time

During the party the girls broke up into 2 teams (Kaitlyn's team and Kennedy's team) and went on an indoor scavenger hunt through the house.
There were clues throughout the house...they had to finish the song lyrics from the "Frozen" songs to figure out where to go next. Of course, the girls knew all the words, so this was super fun!  (Got this cute idea off Pinterest)
It was funny to see all the girls running up and down the stairs looking for their clues. At each station, they got to add something to their bag ...which turned out to be their goody bag to take home.

Kennedy's team (Skye, Jillian, Elizabeth and Marissa)

Kaitlyn's team (Gloria, Cierra, Hope and Gracie)

After the fun, the girls went upstairs to sing on the karaoke machine! (The twins gift from mom and dad) They loved singing on the REAL microphones!
 Singing away!

And of course, whats a Frozen party without watching the movie??? The girls cuddled on the couch together, we popped popcorn and they started the show.....

It didn't last too long however...they abandoned the show and had fun just playing together and catching up until their parents picked them up at 9pm.
Super fun evening!
