Easter fun

Our church had a "Big Bunny Party" this past Saturday.  I love Easter activities and watching the girl's excitement!

A cute stuffed bunny was at the entrance.

Then, when we entered the church there was a real bunny! Kaitlyn was a little nervous, but got over it pretty quick. Jillian wasn't nervous at all, even though she looks like she is in the picture.

After pictures, he headed out to see the rest of the fun! It was quite chilly so the sweaters came out for a couple of my girls. (Kaitlyn didn't want a sweater to cover up her "cute outfit" in case Kyle came...lol)

Kennedy was tickled pink that her school friend Hannah came. They are in the same class together and Kennedy invited her! They had a lot of fun together and I enjoyed chatting with her mom.
Hannah is one of 4 girls in her family! Wow!

Balloon animals were a hit! Kaitlyn got a bunny with big ears! Too cute.

Kennedy got a pretty flower to go on her wrist.

Jilly got a flower too! (Not sure where her big smiles were for all the pictures.)

Next up: Easter egg hunt!!
They had to wait behind the pink line until it was time....
Waiting is so hard.

They dropped eggs from a cherry picker and then turned the kids loose!

Showing off their eggs!

After the hunt, we went back inside so Hannah could get pictures with the bunny too.  This is cute with all of the girls....
Meanwhile..Kaitlyn was quite concerned that Kyle wasn't there yet.... I was sure hoping he would come, for her sake.

Silly picture with the big balloon carrot!

Our new friend, Kenzie, showed up too!! So much fun!

Hannah wanted to get a picture with Kennedy with the big bunny.

Then we had some bounce house fun.

Finally!! Kyle showed up! His mom was sweet and let him spend just a few minutes before he had to go to baseball practice. Kaitlyn was one happy little girl. :)

The last thing we did was go to the "live bunny show"...a fun show where they had the kids singing, dancing and praising Jesus!  It was a great to end our fun filled time with the reminder of why we are celebrating Easter.

Kindergarten crush

Here lately, Kaitlyn has been talking a lot about a little boy in her class. She has also been wanting to dress "pretty" and have her hair fixed in different ways.  I finally put 2 and 2 together and realized that all of this is because of the boy!! She has her first little crush!! :)

I also find things like this around the house that she has drawn...

 and things like this....

She even decided that her Friday t-shirt wouldn't do and wanted to wear a "cute" outfit. This is the first time the girls have dressed differently at school. Sniff. Sniff.

She has been begging me to have a play date with him, so I told her she could invite him to our church's Easter egg hunt on Sat. There would be bounce houses, lots of eggs to hunt, balloon animals, and more. She was sooooo excited and I was really hoping he would show up (because she would really be crushed if not).
Thankfully, he did show up! :) This made her day.

I sure hope this is a passing phase and not a sign of what is to come! She is wearing me out! LOL!

Spring Break Part 2

On Thursday,  we headed to George Bush Park and had a picnic. We used our picnic basket and we packed some fun picnic food. We had some excited little girls. :)

My cuties ready for the picnic

 Jillian was helping too.

It was a little breezier and cooler than we all expected, but it was still fun.

 My twinkies with mommy

After lunch, we played a little Frisbee.

They got to play on the playground.....

...and swing! (Their favorite thing to do)

After the park we had a play date with Kenzie. The girls had a snack outside, rode bikes, played with chalk, drew, played with toys....you name it.....they did it! What fun!

 Snack break

On Friday morning we (all the girls) did some shopping with my mom and had lunch at CFA. That afternoon we headed to the Fox's house to play with them and have dinner.
 Kennedy and Ryan
We noticed that Kennedy wasn't quite herself....a little quiet and sleepy.

Kaitlyn really took care of baby Colin. So sweet. She is such a good little mommy. Jillian was also a little mommy with him. They both followed him around and made sure he was safe.

We picked up dinner at Schlotzsky's and ate it on their back patio! Yummy!! I tried to get a picture of all 6 kids! Most are looking!! How cute is Kade back there with his cowboy hat on? :)

Nothing better than pizza from Schlotzsky's :)

When we got home to took Kennedy's temp (thinking surely she can't have fever....she JUST got over the virus/allergy she had earlier in the week)  But, what do you know. She had 101 fever.
Bless her heart. Just can't stay well.
We took it easy all day Saturday and she continued to have fever throughout the day.  Not sure what this is, but praying it's short-lived.
Can't believe spring break is almost over. Aside from the sickness, it has been amazing! The weather has been awesome and we were able to have sooo much family time! Loved it!!

Spring Break Part 1

Right before spring break, the girls had open house and the book fair at their school. Of course, we stopped by and got the girls some books....too fun!

 Kaitlyn, Jillian, Kennedy

First stop: Kaitlyn's room.
She loves her teacher, Miss Harbison

After we looked around at Kaitlyn's work, we headed to Kennedy's room. Jillian made herself at home right away and climbed up on the loft that is in the room. She thinks she is so big.
 My Jillian

Kennedy loves her teacher, Mrs. Tijerina

On Saturday, we got up and left for Springtown to visit Tony's family. It takes about 5 hours and we made good time. The girls were good travelers, thanks to the DVD players. :)
When we got there Paw Paw wanted to take the girls down to see the cows and the tree house. It was super windy!! Kaitlyn and Jillian decided to go, but Kennedy stayed back at the house. She wasn't too sure about the cows this time.

Jillian is my little daring one...she will try anything and the more risky the better! :)

Later that evening, their cousin, Shaylee came to play and spend the night. The girls had a lot of fun dressing up and doing arts and crafts.

 Kaitlyn, Jillian and Shaylee

After baths, Ya Ya let the girls decorate cupcakes for the birthday party we were going to have the next day (family members birthdays) That's always a fun treat! :)
 Ya Ya and Jilly

All the girls busy decorating.....and licking icing!

Group hug!! They love Shaylee!

The girls had a very hard time going to sleep. They were in the same room so there was a lot of talking, giggling, and getting up. Finally they all fell asleep. Unfortunately, Kennedy woke up at 3:30am with hives! She has never had that before and we didn't know if it was an allergy or a virus. (she later developed fever) We gave her some allergy medication and she slept in our bed the rest of the night.  Poor thing. :(

The next morning, she still had a few hives, but her fever was gone and she seemed better. We all got dressed and went to church.
 Pretty girls at church

After church, we went back and changed, had lunch and just lazied around until the birthday party when all the rest of the family was coming over.

We tried to get a group picture...there were still 3-4 people missing, but we got a lot of the family (and Kennedy in motion!)

Cupcake and homemade ice cream time! Yum!

Dar with the girls...this turned out cute!  :)

Kennedy snuggled with Paw Paw and looks super happy here....but......

.....this is how she really felt. As the day went on her fever and hives came back and
 she was very cold.

Poor thing wore her coat in the house and just couldn't stay warm.

The girls got some super fun straw/glasses!  Jillian was so happy to try them out!

All the girls were very taken with Andra and Brenae.....they both just recently married Dar and Lee's boys, Chase and Nic. The twins were the flower girls in Andra and Chase's wedding. Jillian was supposed to be the flower girl in Brenae's wedding this past November, but Tony had just had his surgery and we were all sick too!  We hated to miss it! (Kaitlyn is with Andra, and
Jillian is with Brenae)

After everyone left, we got the kids ready for bed. Poor Kennedy felt sooo bad and she went to sleep very fast. We decided that it was probably best if we left a day early and come back home in case she was allergic to something there.

The next morning we said goodbye to Ya Ya and Paw Paw and headed to Aunt Dar's house to say goodbye to them too.  Kennedy was feeling a lot better, but the fever and hives would come and go.

Blake and Shaylee came to Dar's to say bye too! We got a cute group pic of all the grand kids.

Kennedy did great on the way home. The medicine was really doing the trick and the closer we got to home, the better she got! :)
We stopped at McDonald's on the way home for dinner.

Jillian and Kennedy being silly! They loved their Barbie that came in their kid meal.

 Kaitlyn

The kids were all super tired and slept sooooo good that night. We hung around the house the next day and just took it easy.  Kennedy woke up all better! Woo hoo! Still don't know if it was a virus or allergy, but it's amazing how fast she got better once we got home.

On Wednesday, we took the girls to Studio Movie Grill to watch a Barbie movie they were showing...only 2 dollars a ticket!

Going up the looong escalator!  This was Jillian's first movie experience!!

My phone had a hard time taking pictures in the dark, but I wanted to get a quick pic before we entered the theater.  They were so excited!

My sweet baby did so good watching her first movie! The girls all ate lunch while they watched (the food must have been amazing because they ate sooo well) and the movie was a hit too!

After the show, we played in the backyard and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
Kaitlyn laying in the hammock

We had a little park playdate with a friend nearby. Kenzie is going to be in first grade with Kennedy and Kaitlyn at FBCA next year and they live very close to us. The girls all had such fun together!

 Playing together on the playground.

Sunny group picture of the girls...they moved into their new house not too long ago. So glad they are close by.

We have more fun things planned for the rest of the week. The weather has been perfect and I have LOVED having lazy mornings and fun family time. I don't want spring break to end!
More to come soon.

Changes

We had a pretty uneventful week this past week, except for Jillian coming down with the flu also. She is over it now, and we are back to normal. We are REALLY looking forward to spring break!!

One big change for next year is that Kennedy and Kaitlyn will be coming to school with me at Fort Bend Christian!! Woo hoo!! I'm soo happy that God has provided this opportunity and the girls are super excited.
This past Saturday, the girls had to take a test to be able to start school there next fall. After the test, we had a little mommy/daughter date at the Cheesecake Factory! They had never been, so this was a real treat.

They loved the restaurant and how "fancy" it was.

 Strawberry lemonade, of course.

Ummmm....which cheesecake should we pick? :) They ended up getting the "original" and not liking it. Lol. I LOVE cheesecake, but I do know that it's not a super kid-friendly taste. They will get there.

Just a cute picture from Sunday morning. :)

One more week until Spring Break!!!
