Pumpkin Patch and Petting Zoo!

Sunday we went to a pumpkin patch that was nearby our house! It was a lot of fun. They had food, pumpkin painting and all kinds of stuff. They even had wagons! So, we loaded the girls in one of the wagons (they loved it!) and started looking around. It wasn't long before we found the petting zoo. This was by far their favorite place. There were goats, llamas, sheep, deer, chickens, roosters, pigs, rabbits...all kinds of animals and to the girls, they were all DOGS! It was so funny. They walking around touching all the animals and saying "Dog, Dog, Dog". I could barely keep up with them...they were all over the place. They did NOT want to leave, and Kaitlyn made that pretty clear to us! :) Oh no...are we starting the tantrum stage? Already? They were hot and tired and so were we so after one more swing around the place in the wagon they were ready to go. You can tell how hot they are in the pics where they are holding the pumpkin and have their hats off! We had a good time though! :)

The Park!

We went to the park this weekend...they were really more interested in playing with the dirt, but it was cute anyway.

Tunnels and Towels

Kaitlyn and Kennedy have a red tunnel that they love to crawl through...apparently, so does dad. :)
I thought these pics were funny of them after their bath...they love "wearing" their towels. (Kennedy has the white towel...Kaitlyn, blue)

Bows!

Here are just a couple of pics of the girls with bows in their hair. I love it when they have them in....they just keep pulling them out! Top pic is Kennedy, bottom pic is Kaitlyn

differences

Many people ask me what the differences between the girls are....being that they are identical twins. Well...there are quite a bit.

I'll start with Kennedy (born first by 45 seconds). Kennedy can be summed up in one word....happy. She is a very happy baby who LOVES to show off and just be a "ham". She likes to "dress up" with her feather boa and hats and has a constant smile on her face. She loves to eat (she is 1 lb heavier than Kaitlyn) and she is not a picky eater at all. Kennedy is cautious and not a risk taker..she is pretty laid back too. For example....if Kaitlyn takes her toy away from her she will usually just go find another toy to play with. She is a great sleeper and gives sweet sweet kisses.

Ok....now it's Kaitlyn's turn. She is my little cuddle bug...she is very very attached to mommy and she gives the BEST cuddles and hugs. She was the first one to crawl, walk etc....because she IS a risk taker and a little "go-getter" She loves balls and dogs...she says those 2 words all the time and gets so excited when she sees either of them. She is the smaller of the two partly b/c she is a little bit more picky with her food than Kennedy. She LOVES fruit and I think if that was all I gave her she would be happy. She is shy around new people and new situations (this is the cling to mommy part) and it takes her a while to warm up to people. She has a sweet smile that can melt your heart.

I'm sure there is so much more, but that is an overview....
We love our adorable girls!!!

Cribs, Pacifiers and Sleep Sacs

I took some pics of the girls in their cribs...it dawned on me today that I don't have any pictures of them in their cribs (except when they were newborns). They seem to have a party in their cribs...or at least they will make as much noise or do whatever it takes to make mommy and daddy go into their room. Daily we struggle with the paci...oh the glorious pacifier. They can't live (sleep) without them but they throw them out of the cribs ALL the time. It never fails...one will get fussy (on the monitor) and we know exactly what has happened (or we hear the "thump" from upstairs as it hits the floor) We sigh....we go up there and give it back. Luckily it usually only happens once. Then they go back to sleep.I guess they want to make sure mom and dad are still there.
Well..this morning, little Miss Kaitlyn decided to take it one step further. Not only were her pacis all on the floor but she had taken her sleep sac OFF! By herself! For those that do not know...a sleep sac is a "wearable blanket" that keeps them covered all night. I LOVE the sleep sacs. It zips up the front....somehow that little squirt pulled the zipper part apart and slipped her little arms and head out of the holes. I couldn't believe it! We'll see how tomorrow goes.
Anyways...I just snapped some pics today of the girls in their cribs. Enjoy! :)

Hats!

The girls just crack me up. Lately they have been wanting things on their head....anything....stuffed animals, clothes..they just LOVE walking around with something on their head. Of course, everything kept falling off and they would get upset and want it back on. Finally, it dawned on us...HATS! They put them on and didn't want to take them off. They are too funny! Kennedy especially wanted to keep hers on. I can't believe they will be 14 months next week! Enjoy the pics!
