Swimming Pool fun!

Well..Tony and I have been wanting to get the girls a little pool for outside and we saw one at the store and decided to go ahead and get it. We weren't quite sure if they were going to like it or not, but it was worth a shot. Kaitlyn had been swimming before and loved it, but Kennedy hated it!
Now, the girls aren't very fond of getting their clothes changed, so we decided against the whole swimsuit thing..we just took off their shorts and left them in their shirt and diaper. (boy, those diapers can hold a lot!)
Kaitlyn LOVED it!! She splashed around and had a blast. Kennedy took a good while to warm up to it. Thankfully Tony was in the pool too...otherwise she never would have gone in. After about 10-15 minutes, Kennedy felt brave enough to join her sister and boy did they have fun!

Cruising and First steps

The girls are walking!! (sort of). Ok...not officially walking...but they are taking steps and cruising around furniture. Kaitlyn took her first step last week and Kennedy took her first step 2 days ago. It won't be long now and our little babies will be officially walking! :)

Happy 1st Birthday!

Here are some pictures from their first birthday party. They had such a fun time. They got lots of clothes and toys and boy did they have fun with the cupcake!! :) I can't believe how fast time has gone.

Early birthday gifts and 4th of July

Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Chris and Aunt Jenn decided to give the girls their birthday gifts early. Their party is going to be on Sat. (the 7th) but it may be quite overwhelming to them with all the people....so.....they wanted to give them their gifts early. They had a blast...especially playing with the paper. :) They got 2 adorable pink chairs (with their name on it), 2 "poppers", books, clothes and other fun toys. They really had a good time. It was also their first 4th of July so we dressed them in red, white and blue today. :)

Holding hands

This picture was taken in our mini van. I was in the front seat and when I turned around the girls were holding hands across their car seats. I thought it was adorable and I just happened to have my camera with me.

11 month pics

Here are some pictures of the girls. We took Kaitlyn swimming when we went to visit Tony's family and she LOVED it. (We didn't have a bathing suit with us so we used a onesie) Kennedy, on the other hand, screamed as soon as we put her feet in the water. Too funny!

June update

Hello all!
Sorry it's been so long since we posted last. A lot has happened. First of all, we have moved into a new house! We have been very busy unpacking boxes. It seems never-ending.
The girls are 11 1/2 months old now. They are finally crawling, pulling up etc. They are all over the place. It's so much fun to watch them explore and they seem so much happier now that they can "go".
Tony has been very busy putting up ceiling fans, hanging pictures for me and all that other "guy stuff". It's been fun, but I'm so glad that they moving process is over.

Here are some recent pics. Kaitlyn is really trying to move around....she can only scoot backwards. She got herself stuck under the couch! She couldn't figure out how to go forwards so we had to rescue her! :) Kennedy is doing a great job moving too. Still no crawling....
They are 10 months old and time sure is flying by!

Nearing 10 months!

Wow...where has the time gone? Kaitlyn and Kennedy will be 10 months old next week. They are so much fun. Kennedy likes to play peek-a boo! She holds a little book in front of her face and we say "Where's Kennedy?" Then she brings the book down and we say "Peek- a boo" She gets the biggest smile on her face. Kennedy also loves to roll her arms like "roll em up, roll em up, throw them in the pan" (part of pat-a cake") She can sign "milk" now and still loves to say" wow wow wow wow". It's so cute. She also loves to wave bye bye. Not crawling yet, but getting close!

Kaitlyn loves to clap her hands and she can sign "more" and "tree" (I know thats a weird one, but she does it!) She also LOVES to wave bye bye and likes mirrors a lot! Last week Kaitlyn pulled herself up in her crib! We were so surprised! Kaitlyn is our little jumping bean. She loves to jump jump jump! She would rather be standing and jumping than anything! :) No crawling for her either, but tons of rolling!

Our First Easter

We had a wonderful Easter!! The Easter Bunny visited the girls this morning and left them little baskets full of Easter eggs, bunny ears, stuffed rabbits and 2 kid DVDs (for later). They had a lot of fun playing with everything...especially the Easter grass that came in the basket. :) Then we put on our pretty Easter dresses and got ready for church...we had a wonderful Easter service and the girls went to the nursery for the first time. They did great and Tony and I got to actually listen to the sermon today! Then...it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a BIG meal! Auntie Jenna and Uncle Chris were there too...Boy what a big day! But, most important of all, it's the day we celebrate the risen Savior... "He is Risen!"
